POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES

We use them to talk about possession of something

This video shows you how to use them correctly
Possessive Adjectives

Before a noun, you often use words that help you indicate possession (they help you say who that object or thing belongs to)

  Examples:

Mycake!…It is my birthday….I am five today
  Yourbirthday…Is it your birthday?Congratulations!
  Hiscomputer. It is his job.
Herbaby. It is her son Paul
Its   nest. It is its future home…
  Ourmoney. Let’s share our profits.
Theirlove. It is their happiness. They are together and happy.

  Note

Possessive adjectives are only one way to express possession…You can also express the same idea  for example by adding  ‘s to the names of people or things….But that will be explained in further units
  Claudio’ s piano.

Richard’ s dog  or  Fido ‘s master

Study possessive adjectives together with personal pronouns so you will remember the connection between them better…
